Twelve months ago we decided to move back to Wagga from Sydney to retire after an absence of several years. As we had previously owned a house built by Wayne Carter Homes and had been very happy with it, we contacted them to see what house and land packages they might have had available.
From the first meeting with Peta and Wayne they could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We talked about our specific needs, one of them being able to park a caravan, either in the garage or down the side of the house.
Peta and Wayne contacted one of their previous clients for whom they had recently built a house in the Estella Rise Estate who very kindly agreed for us to look through their home. This was certainly fantastic to be able to look through and actually see the spacious bedrooms, the layout of the house and the very large undercover pergola area outside. Peta made an excellent suggestion to change the plan to remove or move the media room, therefore creating a large space down the side of the garage to accommodate the caravan. This was a perfect suggestion and we quickly agreed to this change and commenced the process to purchase the block of land that they suggested would be the most suitable for both the house we had chosen and the caravan and for Wayne to build the house.
The house was commenced in May and we moved in at the end of October. Despite the amount of heavy rain we had during this period, Wayne and his excellent ‘tradies’ worked hard to ensure that the house was ready to move into by the time we needed to. While Wayne supervised the actual building, Peta was always available to assist us with the many choices that have to be made when building a house. As we were living in Sydney and could only come down a couple of times during this period, it was very reassuring to have Wayne and Peta controlling every aspect of the construction. They always responded promptly to e-mail and telephone enquiries and were kind and thoughtful enough to send us frequent photos of the progress of the construction. It was always very exciting for us to receive these regular updates and to be able to visually see the progress being made. Peta was truly amazing and always, always so very helpful and willing to discuss colours etc and reassure us that the decisions we were making were either the correct decisions or provide us with advice when we were unsure. We had complete faith in her.
The big day finally arrived to move in and we arrived from Sydney around 6:30 in the evening. We turned the corner into our street and there were Peta and Wayne waiting for us. Their faces lit up with as much excitement handing over the house to us as we felt about moving in.
We just love our house and everything is so well finished off. Wayne called in or contacted us several times in the week after we moved in to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.
We would have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending Wayne Carter Homes to anyone considering building a house in the Wagga area. You do not need to be a local to be able to put yourselves in their hands and entirely trust them. The Wagga new home builder Wayne Carter Homes has built 4 homes for us in the last five years for investment purposes.

We chose Wayne for  as our builder for the first home because he was easy to deal with, he quoted everything we needed for an investment home and we saw that the quality of his workmanship was very good. We didn’t want any little nasty surprises at the end of building when we were working to a budget. All the inclusions were of an excellent quality and our needs were always foremost in mind when planning the project.  Everything flowed so smoothly, that when we decided to do more building we didn’t look anywhere else for a Wagga builder.

All our homes had tenants ready to move in on completion of building as the agents were able to liaise with Wayne to gain access to show clients. This enabled us to start earning for our investment from the earliest possible dates.

Any little ‘hiccups’ from a new home were dealt with by Wayne very promptly so our tenants were never disadvantaged by a ‘stove or rangehood not working properly’.
Wayne quoted on everything we asked for a ‘move in ‘ price which included everything through to landscaping, so we didn’t have to lift a finger on our projects. This was a huge asset to us as we live in Sydney and couldn’t do the work ourselves.

Many people say after building a house that they would never do it again due to all the problems, but, in spite of the distance from Sydney to Wagga Wagga, a few phone calls were all it took to get the final projects under way because we had total trust in ‘our’ builder and the professionalism of his team. We are now doing a project up the coast and we asked Wayne if he would move up the coast for us, but he declined. This shows the amount of trust we have in him as a builder.

After viewing a home built by Wayne Carter Homes I knew that was the Wagga builder for me. I was so impressed with the quality and the extra touches and the fact that the plan could be modified to suit my needs and my budget.

Flexibility was an important factor as well as I was able to alter some of my selections along the way.

As a FIRST HOME BUYER I had no idea of the process of building. But my fears were allayed when I met Wayne & Peta Carter.
